The search industry has labeled this update as “Google Mice”.

You mean outside of the reason of “They Can”? Well over 60% of Google searches are performed on mobile devices. So Google’s goal is to provide a faster, smoother, more user friendly experience for mobile searchers.


To prevent a diminished user experience when accessing sites found on their platform, they are going to favor mobile-ready websites by displaying them in a way to ensure they get more attention…higher in the search results.
